They are independent, experienced, fee-for-service practitioners who focus on client requirements.  Most have the distinguished designations behind their name - RFP, CGA, CA or CFP.

All fully disclose their fees.  They provide holistic, comprehensive financial planning and advisory services.  Many have clients who are resisting high mutual fund MERs.

Clients recognize the value of a transparent, fee-only relationship that aligns their own best interests with those of their professional service providers.  As portfolio managers, we sell no products.  We are free of any commissions-based remuneration, product bias, or mainstream thinking.  As a matter of principle and service, we avoid anything that might cause a conflict of interest or influence our ability to deliver objective investment portfolio recommendations.

Is this value … a product of integrity? Over the period reviewed, for every $1 the investor earned, the wealth management service providers collectively earned the same. That proved to be a lean deal considering that the client takes ALL the capital risk … and ALL the retirement risk.
