Wilfred Hahn is intimately familiar with the many facets and challenges of the world of money, having worked in the global financial and investment industry for over two decades.
Prior to founding Hahn Investment, Wilfred was head of the Global Investment Group of the Royal Bank of Canada, a leading bank in North America. In this position for over seven years, he built the global discretionary business of this institution, comprising the activities of staff in nine countries and assets of clients totalling in excess of $10 billion. The group's many clients around the world included pension funds, corporations, mutual fund unit-holders and private individuals.
Prior to selling Hahn Capital Partners Inc. a global investment counselling firm he co-founded to the Royal Bank of Canada, Wilfred was Senior Vice President, Director of Research of Prudential Bache Securities. There he gained extensive global experience, establishing a high ranking as a financial market strategist. Earlier, Wilfred was a partner in the investment banking firm of Gordon Capital Inc. When Euromoney Magazine asked fund managers around the world to name their favorite domestic and international research analysts, Wilfred was chosen one of them in 1986.
Business and research travels have brought Wilfred to 40 countries around the world, allowing him a unique opportunity to keep abreast of global developments and to maintain an international network of contacts. He is a published author and has written on global financial markets, ethics and stewardship issues. In addition to penning hundreds of published investment articles, many translated into a number of foreign languages, he was the associate editor of the internationally-renown Currencies and Credit Markets with Dr. Kurt Richebächer between 1988 and 1994.
Many foreign publications around the world have quoted Wilfred, including the South China Morning Post, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Frankfurter Allgemeine, and the Financial Post. He has made numerous appearances on various television and radio broadcasts.
Davee Gunn is a veteran of the securities industry in Canada having started her career in 1980 with Richardson Securities in Retail Sales. Davee subsequently joined Yorkton Securities where she was an officer, director and shareholder of the firm until 1987.
In 1988, Ms. Gunn co-founded Allied Canadian Corporation, a diversified real estate corporation that engaged in the acquisition and development of large-scale commercial facilities in the United States and Canada. In her capacity as President of Allied Canadian Equities, a wholly-owned subsidiary licensed as a securities dealer in Canada, she oversaw the structuring and distribution of income-producing real estate to Canadian investors. Davee sold her interest in 1994 after successfully growing the business.
Prior to joining Hahn Investment, Ms. Gunn was Vice Chair of Abria Financial Group, a firm recognized as a leader in the alternative investment business in Canada. During her tenure at Abria she was appointed to positions of increasing responsibility until becoming Vice Chair and a member of the Executive Committee.
Davee has served as an instructor for the Canadian Securities Institute, instructed the CHFS Module on Portfolio Construction and Optimization and is frequently cited for her education-based approach in the investment advisory community. She also served on the Sales Practices Committee of the Canadian Chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and the Education Committee for the Canadian Securities Institute.
Davee joined Hahn Investment Stewards in 2006 as a shareholder and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in December 2006.

Paul Tyers is Director of Professional Services with HAHN Investment Stewards. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, his success is a reflection of his dedication to clients and entrepreneurial spirit.
A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), Paul has dedicated his career to providing comprehensive financial counseling and advisory services to higher net worth clients.
With an honours degree in business administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, Paul began his career at Thorne Riddell, a predecessor to today’s KPMG organization. He gained experience in the financial, transportation and food services industries, as well as with private manufacturing businesses.
During a five-year period with the Bank of Montreal and boutique finance entities, he was exposed to mergers, acquisitions and growth financing prior to partnering with a venture capital firm on the purchase of financial planning firm, Retirement Counsel of Canada (RCOC). From 1987, Paul led RCOC through substantial growth prior to negotiating its sale in 2002 and returning to his passion of building, managing and preserving the wealth of private clients.
Paul’s client base has grown largely through referrals from existing customers and other financial professionals, and he attributes his success to a genuine concern for clients and ensuring their best interests always come first. Paul specializes in investment management, retirement and estate planning, taxation and business succession strategies, and has pioneered the integration of wealth management services into accounting/tax firms in the Canadian marketplace.
A member of industry organizations, the Ontario and Canadian Institutes of Chartered Accountants, the Financial Planners Standards Council, and Advisors with Purpose, Paul is a committed leader in his church and volunteers with various organizations, including Opportunity International, a non-profit organization devoted to improving the well being of the world’s poor through micro-lending.
In his downtime, Paul enjoys skiing, tennis, squash, hockey and cottage related activities. He and his wife Peggy have been married for over 25 years, and have two adult children.
Tyler Mordy is a portfolio manager and Director of Research at HAHN Investment. Since joining the firm in February 2003, he has made key contributions in the development of the firm's proprietary portfolio systems. A member of the HAHN Investment Committee, he is engaged in top-down strategy, investment policy and securities selection. Tyler is regarded as a leading expert in the burgeoning field of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and writes an influential, bi-monthly publication called ETFocus. He is a recognized innovator in the design and application of actively-managed ETF portfolios.
Previously, Tyler began his career at Deutsche Asset Management in London, UK. He earned his bachelor's degree in both Mathematics and English Literature at the University of British Columbia. Regularly quoted in financial media, Mr. Mordy is a CFA charterholder.
Alex brings to Hahn Investment a solution- and people-oriented approach with his strong financial planning background and education.
Prior to joining Hahn Investment, Alex enjoyed a diverse career in the financial services industry. After graduating from McMaster University, Alex began his career as a financial advisor specializing in estate planning for business owners and high net worth families. He next worked as an Advanced Marketing Consultant with Manulife Financial, working with financial advisors to present insurance and estate planning solutions. Alex further developed his skills at a financial planning boutique that catered to some of Canada's wealthiest families. The firm provided customized financial solutions and collaborated with actuaries as well as tax professionals from leading firms. Latterly, as Director of Business Development for one of Canada's largest insurance wholesalers, he was responsible for developing and supporting distribution channels mainly comprised of independent financial advisors.
Alex's broad background in financial services well equips him to understand the needs of both our service partners and clients. He is committed to helping our service partners succeed in their financial planning practices offering Hahn Investment services with "value and integrity."
Rob is head of the Systems Development team at Hahn Investment Stewards & Company where he has developed strategic information systems and programs that enable us to provide an unprecedented level of personalization and individual attention to our client portfolios with emphasis on the client's best interests.
Before working with Hahn Investment, Rob's financial sector experience includes supporting development of specialized end-to-end large-scale portfolio management systems at FMC Toronto, maintaining national branch and inter-office information systems at CIBC, web-based foreign-exchange trading system integration for the Quilium Group, and sales trader information system development and support for Goldman Sachs in New York.
Harjeet is a research analyst with Hahn Investment Stewards & Company Inc. He assists the investment committee with all strategy processes and supports general portfolio administrative operations. Prior to joining Hahn Investment, Harjeet worked as a chemical analyst with a leading nutraceutical company. Harjeet completed his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Okanagan University College. He is a level two candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
